The GREATEST DESIRE of GOD is to be your GOD-"for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people" 2Cor.6:16
Your GREATEST DESIGN is to be God's peculiar person-"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light" 1Pet.2:9
Your GREATEST DUTY as God's peculiar person is obedience-"Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine" Exo.19:6
Your GREATEST DIVIDEND as God's special breed is to showcase His praises-"This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise" Isa.43:21
The GREATEST DISASTER is to assume that you belong to God only to be denied confirmation as God's people-"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity" Matt.7:21-23
Your GREATEST DESTINY for God's people is the citizenship of new Jerusalem where they will spend eternity with God-"And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God" Rev.21:2,3
How qualified are you as God's Peculiar Person?
O Lord count me worthy of this enviable heritage to be your peculiar person and be customised as my God now and in eternity in Jesus name.
